30 Jul 2018 National Championship Judges
As November draws ever closer, we at the BBCR are excited for our 2nd Annual National Championship, held at the Cabarrus Arena Events Center in Concord, North Carolina, November 3rd, 2018. We are proud to announce that our judges at this year’s Nationals will be Tim Sinclair and Moses “Mo” Barrow.
Tim Sinclair is well-known throughout the bully community and has been a familiar face at BBCR conformation events for almost a decade. He first became involved with conformation shows in 2006.
“We registered our entire yard with BBCR and started attending their shows,” Tim remembers. “We even produced a BBCR Champion female.”
Tim has bred the American Pit Bull Terrier and American Bully for over a dozen years, and in recent years he’s also done a phenomenal job building awareness of the BBCR in North Carolina. He has hosted many events, including the Fall Bully Fair, Christmas Bully Bash, and the Spring Fling Bully Carnival.
Judging at Nationals is really full circle for Tim. “I’m very excited to judge my first Nationals,” he says. “This moment really means a lot to me, being given the opportunity to judge Nationals in my hometown. There are a lot of great dogs in North Carolina and I look forward to seeing everyone there.”
Mo Barrow has been with BBCR since October 2016. First, he became an official judge, then a certified trainer. Eventually, he joined the Board of Directors and was just recently selected as Director of Judges. Originally from Irvington, NJ, Mo has played a major role in the bully community since 2007.
“My first dog was Juno, from the Best Bloods Kennel,” he recalls. “My breeds are mainly American Bullies.”
Like Tim, Mo is respected throughout the bully community. He is especially pleased to be working with Tim as a judge in the upcoming Nationals event.
“In the last few years we have received a tremendous amount of support for the state of North Carolina,” says Mo. “I am happy that we’re finally able to bring a National show to the state as a sign of our appreciation.
“Tim and I used to compete against each other in the show ring, and we became friends,” he adds. “It’s a pleasure to be working with him at the second annual BBCR National Championship.”
BBCR appreciates what Tim and Mo have accomplished. Tim’s vision in promoting shows, in particular, is a welcome development: previous events have sold out well before the event date, and attendees have reported that they greatly enjoyed themselves.
At this year’s Nationals event, Tim will judge the following categories:
American Pit Bull Terrier
American Staffordshire Terrier
Tim will also be in charge of judging Junior Handlers at the event.
Mo will judge the following breeds:
Olde English Bulldogge
Doors open at 8:30 am and the competition starts at noon. We look forward to seeing
