The dog’s complete three generation pedigree (photocopy or handwritten).
ADBA dogs apply for acceptance as an American Bully must include pictures of the dog (Front, Side, Rear and Top) or have the dog inspected by a BBCR Judge. ADBA Single Dog Form
Although the majority of applications submitted to the BBCR for registration from other independent registry systems will encounter no problems, there are always exceptions to the rule. If your Shortybull does not come accompanied with a three generation pedigree, if that pedigree is either incomplete or the ancestors in the pedigree are not currently listed in the archives of the BBCR, we will return your application with an “Acceptance Packet”. Please review the entire packet and return it to the BBCR completed for review and acceptance. If there is still questions in regards to registration, a BBCR official will contact you to schedule a evaluation either in person or electronically.
The following is a brief overview of some requirements you will find in the “Acceptance Packet”:
Request of additional pictures of your dog. (the packet will instruct you as to the photographic views)
Pictures and/or breeder documentation of your dogs ancestors.
A request for inspection.
A questionnaire regarding your dog and it’s pedigree to be certified by owner and breeder.
If you find you have received a “Acceptance Packet” it will be accompanied by a letter with a brief explanation of the reasons for the request and the next step in registration. Please do not hesitate to contact our offices with any questions or concerns.
