HEADThe Extreme is a variety of the American Bully with the same height as the standard American Bully, however, possesses a heavier frame, thicker bone, and increased body mass as well as more overall substance. Some changes in the movement will be noted due to the increased mass of this variety but the Extreme Bully should still display solid and defined gait without a waddle or sway. They will certainly appear heavy footed and give a pounding impression when in motion, this is acceptable for the variety. The Extreme Bully should be a overall well balanced in appearance and structure.
Medium in length, deep through, broad skull, very pronounced cheek muscles, distinct stop, and high set ears. The lips will be semi-close and even with some looseness accepted, but not preferred.
The ears can be natural or cropped.
The eyes may be any color except albinism. Eye shape is oval to slightly rounded, low down in skull and set far apart.
The nose, or muzzle, should be short to medium with a blocky upper side or slighhtly squared to fall away abruptly below the eyes. All nose colors are acceptable.
The jaws of the American Bully should be defined. The under jaw should be strong & well developed, not narrow or scooped.
The upper teeth will meet tightly outside the lower teeth in front or be scissor bite. Reverse scissor will be considered a fault. Underbites are considered a fault while undershot bites are a disqualification.
The neck should be heavy, slightly arched, tapering from shoulder to base of skull, with minimal or no loose skin. Neck should not appear long or thin, as this would be a fault.
The preferred set of shoulders will be strong and muscular with wide set scapula, good angulation, and well laid back are the prefered set.
The body will have well-sprung ribs, deep in rear with all ribs close together. The forelegs should be set rather wide apart to permit chest development. The chest should be deep and broad. The back will be fairly short to medium, with a slight slope from withers to rump or straight are accepted. A gentle short slope from the rump to the base of tail is not desired in the medium size dog.
The tail should be short to medium in comparison to size, low set, tapering to a fine point. Generally, when gently pulled down, the tip of the tail will meet at the point of the hock, slight variance of length being no more than one inch above or one inch below the hock will be acceptable but not preferred. The preferred tail will be straight and clean. When relaxed the tail should have a pump handle appearance.
The front legs should be straight with large, round bones, and strong upright pasterns.
Slight outwards turn is accepted as long as feet do not measure a 45 degree angle. Feet should be of moderate size, well arched, and compact. Long, slender, and splayed toes are a fault. Declaws are acceptable.
Hindquarters- well muscled, let down at hocks, turning neither in nor out, good sweep in the stifle, have medium angulation, where the point of the rear feet lines up vertically with the point of the butt
The coat should be short, close, stiff to the touch and glossy.
All colors and patterns are permissible except merle. Pigmentation shall be consistent with coat.
There is no particular weight for this breed, but the weight should be in proportion to the body frame and should NOT reach the point where it is considered obese. Height for females should range between 16″ – 19 ” at withers and males should range between 17″ – 20″ at withers.
The gait should be effortless and powerful. The action must, however, be unrestrained, free and vigorous with powerful drive off the rear. These dogs are single trackers. When in motion they converge towards the centerline.
Faults to be penalized but not disqualifications for showing are:
Overly Short tail
Pink or Albino eyes
Severe turn fronts
Severe turn to rears
Displaying or possessing aggressive behavior towards humans
