13 Dec Peru Nationals
Tuesday, December 13, 2016
American Bully lovers from all over Peru and surrounding countries recently attended the first ever BBCR Peruvian National Specialty in beautiful San Borja Peru this past weekend, for a day of intense dog show competition. San Borja is a district of the Lima Province in Peru, and one of the upscale districts that comprise the city of Lima.
The purpose behind National Specialty conformation shows is to recognize the best breeding stock to continue the breed. This BBCR sanctioned show was the most competitive show in Peru to date. The National show gives an idea of the breed and how it currently measure up to the ideal standard of what the dog should be. Winning the “Best in Show” at a National Specialty show is tremendously prestigious.
The grandeur of the Peru National Specialty goes beyond the exaltation of winning. To a dedicated enthusiast of the American Bully, nothing can compare to the thrill of seeing a ring full of dogs from your favorite breed, pleasingly showcased at their best. If you love dogs, it’s definitely a magnificent sight to see.
BBCR looks to host it’s first all breed National show in the United States of American in 2017.
